By KR Projects

One of Kohler Ronan’s current projects with The Metropolitan Museum of Art is an extensive skylight replacement. The project, led by Beyer Blinder Belle, is the largest of its kind in The Met’s history. Not only does the project call for the replacement of 30,000 sf of skylights above the museum’s oldest spaces, but also new ducts, pipes, and cables, as well as 50,000 sf of masonry repairs and repointing. It’s a challenging and impressive project for which we are proud to be creating innovative engineering design solutions. Learn more about the skylights renovation in this New York Times article.

The event celebrated the official opening of the newly-renovated Broadway theater, formerly the Helen Hayes Theatre.  Our engineers designed comprehensive MEP/FP systems in support of infrastructure upgrades and significant renovations to both back-of-house and front-of-house areas. Dating back to the early 1900s, the venue is rich in theatrical history and stands as a testament to old Broadway.  Out team is delighted to have contributed to the theater’s future longevity.
