By News

Henry Baker, PE, has been featured in September’s Consulting-Specifying Engineer issue with his article on Explore Ways to go Beyond Requirements for Electrical Safety.

Henry Baker discusses the importance of and the opportunities that design engineers have to go above the minimum code requirements for electrical safety. “To meet baseline safety criteria and design requirements for electrical power systems, engineers review a wide range of codes, standards and product literature throughout the design process. The consulting engineer must understand that codes present minimum safety requirements, and that there are many opportunities to enhance system safety for facility personnel and third-party electricians by going above and beyond code requirements.”

By News

After a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades in the industry and five years at Kohler Ronan, we say goodbye to our friend and colleague Laura Schofield, Senior Technology Designer. Laura’s expertise in technology design and project management, particularly in the area of cabling infrastructure, has been invaluable. Her extensive knowledge and broad-based experience have enabled her to successfully manage numerous complex projects, while making a lasting impact on our technology department, our entire firm, and, of course, our clients.

Laura’s professional achievements include:

  • LEED AP certification from the US Green Building Council
  • IPVM Certified Professional Construction Specifications Institute – Construction Document Technologist (CSI-CDT)
  • Numerous individual manufacturers’ certifications
  • Countless successfully completed building projects across multiple market segments

As Laura transitions into her well-deserved retirement, she looks forward to spending more time with her husband Bill and enjoying the beautiful outdoors in South Carolina, where we know she will cherish visits from her family and friends.

The entire team at Kohler Ronan are incredibly grateful for Laura’s contributions and dedication, and we wish her all the best in her retirement. Goodbye and thank you, Laura.
