Kohler Ronan joins a growing number of MEP/FP industry leaders in accepting the Carbon Leadership Forum (CLF)’s MEP 2040 Challenge. As signatories, we are committed to “advocate for and achieve” net zero operational and embodied carbon by 2030 and 2040 respectively, across all our projects.
As active participants in the sustainable and high-performance building design movements, Kohler Ronan has always designed our MEP/FP systems with sustainability and environmental stewardship in mind, regardless of whether or not a project was pursuing a LEED rating. Our professionals have always evaluated the performance and environmental impact of every project from a “whole building” perspective over a building’s life cycle. We have continually challenged the standard that constitutes a green building by evaluating and collaborating with the design team on building orientation, envelope, fenestration, shading, and indoor air quality. As such, it is a logical next step that we accept the CLF’s MEP 2040 Challenge. At Kohler Ronan, we are confident in our systems experience and our technical ability to develop strategies that perform up to these inspirational specifications.
Kohler Ronan takes pride in the design and delivery of engineering solutions that balance both environmental and financial considerations. By driving innovation, research, and development, our engineers will continue to test the boundaries of accepted best practices to develop improved solutions for the benefit of our clients, the larger community in which we live, and our shared global environment.
